SalaryMy client is a reputable and well established Veterinary practice based in the Wincanton area. They pride themselves on providing outstanding levels of service for both clients and pets. They offer a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and have a fantastic, modern and well equipped surgery.
At this time they are seeking a dynamic, focussed and experienced Administrator to join their team on a Part-Time basis. This is a fixed term contract (to run until February 2025) to cover maternity leave. The role is based on a 24 hour week and the days of work will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, from 8.30am to 2.30pm.
The Role
This role requires a combination of organising and co-ordinating the efficient operation of the Large Animal services in addition to clerical support for all staff. Liaising with a team of veterinary surgeons, you will be responsible for communicating with farm clients to ensure that veterinary care is delivered in a timely and practical manner, therefore an understanding of the farming and dairy industry would be an advantage.
The main duties of the role would include:-
- Building relationships with clients by understanding individual needs and delivering the highest standards of customer service
- Working closely with the practice management team to handle client complaints
- Organising and co-ordinating meetings with clients
- Representing the business at agricultural shows
- Keeping up to date with market trends and seeking new opportunities
- Understanding DEFRA requirements for TB Testing and the reporting system in place to support the submission of tests
The successful candidates must:-
- Have an Impeccable phone manner
- Be able to interact at all levels across the practice
- Support and listen to others in the team in order to build strong relationships with colleagues
- Have excellent communication in both written and verbal form
- Be highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel
- Be an approachable person with a can-do attitude
- Have experience in a similar role
- Be a quick learner and have an organised approach to work
