SalaryWe are a family run, 580 sow herd pig unit, who breed and finish pigs in a high welfare, largely straw based, indoor, wet fed unit near Devizes, Wiltshire. We are now looking for a highly motivated and enthusiatic trainee or experienced stockperson to join our small team.
You would be responsible for:
- Feeding and cleaning out pigs on a daily basis.
- Identifying and treating sick animals
- Pressure washing
- Tractoring out muck and moving animals about the farm
You must have;
- a minumum of one years experience gained either working on a farm/with animals or at Agricultural college
- a driving licence
- a high level of physical fitness
- a strong work ethic and excellent reliability
- attention to detail, enthusiasm and stamina
The position is 39 hours a week plus overtime and you will be required to work every other weekend. Training is provided and the starting salary is negotiable depending on experience but a hard working and highly motivated individual can quickly progress.
On site accommodation for the right person is available in the form of a new modern static caravan
