Rates of pay: £12.10 per hour rising to £15 per hour upon successfully passing training competencies and probationary period.

Every other Saturday 9.00am-6.00pm
and/or
Every other Saturday nightshift 6.00pm-9.00am

Personal Assistant hours for 22 year old woman with learning disability and additional health needs
I am a delightful young lady who likes to go swimming, go on trips, out for walks, loves music, dancing, looking at books and jigsaws. I go to a club for young adults with additional needs (WeCan) on Saturdays. I have a learning disability and additional health needs. I communicate non-verbally with gesture, facial expressions and using a VOCA (Voice Output Communication Aid), and symbols. I have physical disabilities and need full support with Personal Care, feeding and getting around. I attend college Monday to Fridays and enjoy days out at the weekends.
We’re looking for a caring, compassionate and committed person (female) to join our small and friendly team. We are based in Wylam, Northumberland NE41 which is a 20 minutes drive from Newcastle and has good rail/ bus links.
Driver preferred to use Motability car.
Knowledge and qualifications:
Experience of working with people with additional communication needs, or a willingness to complete training in this (training will be provided).
The ideal candidate would be: Motivated, have a positive can-do attitude, patient, strong communication skills,caring, trustworthy, respectful, able to take direction and possess a genuine commitment to the role.
Great at working as part of a team and also working on your own initiative, taking direction from the Team Lead
