Job Summary

'Mary' is a 43-year-old lady who lives in her own home in Halesworth, Suffolk. 'Mary' has a traumatic brain injury and other complex health needs and requires support with personal care, moving and handling, meal planning and preparation/planning for the day ahead.

'Mary' is friendly and caring and is looking for people to support her that are reliable and friendly and who can support her to be as independent as possible. 'Mary' can be quite anxious and finds change difficult. Support will be focused upon gaining and building trust and working together with 'Mary' to ensure she is safe.

Current team and vacancies

This is an opportunity to join a new support team. Supporting 'Mary' in her own home. At present we have part time, full time, and relief positions available.

Support is required Monday to Sunday during the day in the morning 0800 hrs to 1130 hrs, and then again at 1700 hrs to 2000 hrs.

It is possible that this support will grow and there will be other shifts available.

Halesworth is a rural market town with limited public transport, applications are invited from Support Workers are drivers who have access to their own vehicle and are prepared to use for work purposes.

Due to the nature of the care required, experience in working with adults with disabilities, preferably in their own homes is essential.
