At our Abbeyhill service, we currently support 4 individuals (3 ladies and a gentleman) and are just preparing to welcome a new lady into the service. The individuals we support live in two adjoining, shared flats in Edinburgh city centre. The people we support have faced a lot of challenges in the past because of their learning disabilities, autism, mental health concerns and age-related health concerns but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life!
They enjoy a wide range of different activities, like socialising, going for a walk, listening to music, dancing, arts and crafts and going shopping, going on holiday and generally being pampered (for the ladies!). They’re always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge.
Our staff team are very supportive and experienced and provide support with:
• Medication administration
  • Cooking, home maintenance and financial management
• Social support and support to achieve personal goals
• Moving and positioning, including using a hoist (full training will be provided)
We are currently recruiting forfull-time (42 hour) rolesand require flexibility to work a variety of shifts from Monday to Sunday as follows:
  • 7am - 9.30pm
  • 7am - 2.30pm
  • 2pm - 9.30pm
  • No sleepovers or waking nights currently required
