Field Based Account Manager

We're recruiting for a field-based Account Manager for an exciting and dynamic company, offering excellent progression opportunities for the right candidate. As an Account Manager you will be responsible for the development of business and driving sales growth with new and existing customers. You will be working for a leading manufacturer of quality flooring accessories for both commercial and residential projects including Palaces, Theatres, Retail Stores, Football Stadiums and Hotels.

Key Responsibilities for an Account Manager

• Manage a portfolio of pre-defined accounts
• Cultivate and establish fresh business connections with potential customers, meeting agreed-upon targets.
• Safeguard profitability by upholding and enhancing gross and net margins in line with agreed targets.
• Manage new business inquiries in accordance with internal processes.
• Collaborating with internal sales to optimise the forward planning of customer demand.
• Collaborate closely with the internal team in addressing customer issues, ensuring swift resolution with minimal disruption and cost to both the customer and the business.
• Promptly addressing all requests to consistently achieve customer satisfaction.
• Compiling external and internal cost breakdown documents while safeguarding the business's intellectual property.
• Developing a call plan for regular customer visits based on account levels.
• Coordinating with intercompany plants, both within and outside the UK, to gather necessary information.
• Work closely with team members to ensure the availability of all pertinent information.

Essential Skills and Experience for an Account Manager

• Proven B2B sales experience, particularly in Automotive OEM and tiered parts supply.
• Successful track record meeting sales targets and familiarity with a well-defined sales process.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on listening, patience, and attention to detail.
• Positive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently to meet tight deadlines while managing workload priorities.
• Committed, persistent, systematic, organized, inquisitive, and hard-working, with a probing, questioning approach to tasks.
• Essential qualities include reliability, flexibility, and excellent timekeeping due to the nature of the business.
