You will be working for our client who are a Global IT Consultancy company on behalf of the Post Office.
Field Engineer's needed for the below area's:
- Aberdeen
- Cambridge
- Warrington Manchester
- Northampton
Role Title: Mobile Field Engineer
What will your new role involve:
You will be highly customer-focused and an enthusiastic mobile IT engineer operating within a wider team supporting IT devices across our clients extensive Retail and Administrative locations. You will be professional, well presented, a good communicator and have solid IT device knowledge, including device connectivity and imaging. Your ability to work well on your own, to take ownership and understand the customers' needs are essential.
Package
- GBP24,840 salary
- Engineers required to work 7.5hrs per day + (First 1 hour travel to site and 1 hour travel home) between 8am - 8pm (site dependant, some days engineer may start earlier/later) - will need to work 1 in 4 weekend on a shift bases overtime and shift payment.
- Our client will provide a van, mobile phone, laptop, and fuel card for your travels.
- Must be willing/able to apply for DBS and undergo BPSS.
- Must have valid UK Drivers Licence

The responsibilities will include:
- Device and connectivity troubleshooting
- Device imaging and configuring
- Device swap outs and connectivity cabling, Wi-Fi
- Device installs, moves, decommissions.
- Device stock control and asset management
- Proactive maintenance, user familiarization and guidance.
- Cable management
- Smart hands and eyes
- Liaison with other support teams
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with Point-of-Sale devices.
- Familiarity with Cielo and Microsoft tablets, Lenovo/Dell Desktops and Laptops, KVM Switches, Routers.
- Knowledge of Windows operating system and associated technologies
- Knowledge of peripherals and their maintenance - printers, scanners.
- Be SLA focused and familiar with call management products.
- Familiarity with support procedures
- Awareness of Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance would be desirable.
- Ability to gain base level security clearance - BPSS.
- Valid UK Driver's License
