Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a traditional local family business, specialising with the food manufacturing industry. We are looking for an experienced sales & Business Development Representative, ideally having knowledge in the food industry, and a proved track record of achieving sales quotas.
Responsibilities
- Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services.
- Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs, and developing proposals to address these needs.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with current clients.
- Pitching Sales and products to new and existing clients.
- Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them.
- Possessing a strong understanding of the company’s products and services.
- Utilising Sales systems, cold leads, and email to generate new sales opportunities.
- Identify the needs of prospects and suggest appropriate products or services.
- Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
- Set up meetings or calls with prospective customers.
Skills
- Ideally you will have experience in the food industry.
- Experience as a sales Development Representative, with a track record of achieving sales quotas.
- Strong communication skills via phone and email and face to face
- Excellent time management and negotiating skills.
- Ability to work to strict timescales/deadlines.
- A background in targeted Sales and customer service
