Sales Engineer

Reed in Colchester are recruiting a Sales Engineer/Field Sales Executive for one of our clients who are expanding. The successful candidate will have experience in dust, fume, and mist extraction. This field-based role involves sales of the clients core product ranges, including downdraught benches, cross-draught systems, and coolant mist filters. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused and adept at working with clients to specify, demonstrate, and sell these products across the south of England.
Day to day of the role:
• Become proficient with the businesses market-leading range of dust, fume, and mist extraction units.
• Drive sales of all product ranges to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Develop and nurture relationships with distribution partners.
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure comprehensive customer care.
• Progress all sales opportunities diligently.
• Maintain accurate customer records and manage the CRM system.
• Offer technical advice to both existing and potential customers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Strong sales and customer relationship skills with a minimum of 3 years of direct sales experience.
• Self-motivated with a drive to succeed and the ability to motivate others.
• Understanding of a wide range of manufacturing and engineering processes.
• Capability to grasp technical concepts.
• High standard of written and spoken English.
• Valid driving license.
• Essential experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Required experience in dust and fume extraction sales.
• Comfortable working in a small, close-knit company environment.
