Field Service Engineer

About the roleCovering our Edinburgh and surrounding region, ideal candidates will live within a 1.5 hour radius of our Glasgow depot.You will be required to maintain, service, repair and modify material handling equipment out on hire with our customers. Our equipment consists of telescopic handlers and straight mast fork lift trucks and you will focus on planned maintenance activities out at customer sites.Key responsibilitiesYou will diagnose any faults and identify correct solutions to rectify, ensuring that return visits are minimised.There will be various administrative processes to follow to include updating repair logs, defect sheets and service logs. This will require accurate and legible completion in a timely manner, it is your responsibility to ensure these logs are up to date and meet our audit requirementsWhat we’re looking forA mechanical or engineering background is essentialKnowledge of plant equipment and repairsA recognised mechanical qualification in plant or agricultural engineeringThe ability to manage your own planned daily activities, keeping to agreed timescales whilst also producing a high standard of workA valid driving licenceWhat we can offer you25 days annual leave + bank holidaysCompany PensionLife AssuranceTraining & Development OpportunitiesFree Tool HireCycle to work schemeSave As You Earn SchemeRegular Discounts (eg.
