Finance Administrator - 8-month fixed-term contract

This award-winning organization is recruiting a Finance Administrator to join their team on an 8 month-fixed term contract (though there is a possibility of this role becoming permanent after 8 months).
Reporting to the Operational Finance Coordinator you will be responsible for monitoring risk through tracking, recording and utilization of information to the organization by their customers (businesses) regarding specific projects. You’ll be responsible for resolving any post-submission queries that drive quality standards of the operational business units.
Specific experience is not required however you will be a strong administrator with excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Accountabilities and responsibilities
- Track and resolve post-submission queries received from customers, along with the associated monetary values; which are provided to relevant stakeholders
- Liaise with relevant energy retailers and subcontractors to resolve any notified post-submission queries
- Support with administrative tasks relating to any open investigations with customers, as well as undertake audits relating to any relevant concerns
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of the audit information and post-submission queries, allowing financial risk levels to be reported and monitored accurately
- Support with reporting against appropriate contractual KPIs, including Right First Time
- Provide analysis of trends in post-submission queries from clients and accurate reporting to provide valuable feedback and training recommendations to the operational business units, with a view to minimise future risk
- Validate Annual Bill Savings (ABS) against client records for all relevant business units
- Ensure funding rates reported by operational business units are accurate against client and subcontractor records
- Report any Annual Bill Savings (ABS) or funding rate changes to the Operational finance coordinator and manager
- Support the Operational finance coordinator with issuing all weekly statements and POs for all relevant business units
- Support the Operational finance coordinator with reconciling and processing invoice requests for payment from customers
- Complete first line checks on subcontractor invoices
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders including business unit leaders, companies and subcontractors
- Successfully delivering against individual key performance indicators as well as positively contributing to those of the wider team
Key knowledge and skills
- Strong administrative experience
- High attention to detail
- Ability to translate and use understanding to inform, develop, communicate, and deliver best practice
- Competent in Microsoft products, particularly Excel and Teams
- Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
