Finance Analyst

Reed Accountancy & Finance is currently supporting our Queenborough based client who are currently looking for interim Finance Analyst to support their finance team on an internal project.

Finance Analyst Responsibilities:

• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making processes.
• Prepare and analyse financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Evaluate and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data.
• Monitor key financial metrics and provide insights for performance improvement.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and presentations for senior management.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Perform cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations impacting financial operations.
• Participate in audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.

Finance Analyst Qualifications & Experience required:

• Qualified either in ACCA, CIMA, OR another accountancy related qualification.
• Proven experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• An advanced level within Excel
