We are seeking a finance Analyst/Finance manager to join our busy team, we are one of the largest aerosol manufacturing sites in Europe. The primary production plant for Gillette Shave Gels & Foams across E-IMEA. The plant plays a critical role to reliably deliver high quality and cost-competitive products for some of P&G's most significant and iconic brands.
The role will be based on site, until the end of June 2024.
Working 2 days a week, you will have experience working as a Finance Analyst, be flexible to meet the needs of the business and be responsible but not limited to the following duties:
Responsible for Cost, Controls, Cash and Capability building. Acting as major contributor to the business by leading the organisation to achieve winning operational Total Shareholder Return and holding the organisation to safety standards.
Responsible for financial forecast, actual proofing of Plant and co-located DC, and site BARS adoption, ensuring that forecast frequency, reconciliation, and accuracy commitments will remain in-line with SAFE standards and Corporate/BU PS F&A guidance. This also includes proper update of cost and balance sheet allocation cycles, and building capability to enable PS Budget Ownership.
Responsible for ensuring and enabling all internal controls processes impeccable, efficiently maintained, robust and sustainable, while PS own the stewardship and control.
Responsibilities:
Management of Plant Controllable Cost - Defines budget targets (e.g. manufacturing expenses (MOE), material utilisation (MU), inventory disposal expenses (IDE), general manufacturing costs (GMC)) and oversees tracking of project results and ensures robust delivery of financial commitments.
Financial Review - Leads monthly plant results reviews supporting PS business partners to develop relevant gap closing plans e.g. robust reporting and tracking of plant forecast and commitments delivery
Business Analysis - Leverages existing bench marking tools and networks to bring new savings ideas and business insights into the plant. Supports the financial analysis of capital projects and business decisions.
Cost savings - Facilitates plant loss elimination while laying out a robust base for sustainable savings delivery. Ensures robust reporting and tracking of savings within the plant controllable cost. Provides proper visibility to management and engages with PS leaders to develop and deliver plant's financial commitments.
Supports Stewardship - educates business partners in financial stewardship, ensuring that accounting standards and financial principles/policies are understood, embraced and followed. Partners with Stewardship Flow-to-Work team to build the right level of PS internal control capabilities and autonomous ownership by facilitating a robust MAGICS implementation
Enables Stewardship - Exercise his/her Stewardship oversight responsibility and ensures full compliance with relevant legal/tax and accounting regulations working with GBS, Corporate and D&T auditors. Ensures that internal control requirements are performed as set forth in the Plant Finance CSA. Performs plant finance CSA and lays-out a strong base for robust stewardship results ensuring assets and inventories are under control. Provides relevant documentation and ensures Legal Entity compliance.
Simplification & organisation - Drives step changing task and process simplification by e.g. simplifying reporting/analysis tools or overall plant budgets review process. Builds capabilities in financial and accounting SAFE standards, local legal/tax regulations and budget management by e.g. training peers and new hires from other functions.
Required Skills:
Leadership: You have demonstrated capability to deliver projects with limited supervision and a "can-do" attitude as well as passion to get things done. Strategic thinking and the ability to identify new simplification opportunities is equally important to the successful execution of existing project ideas.
Problem-Solving + Loss Elimination: Ability to resolve issues by analysing the problem and partnering with the multifunctional team. You will be self-motivated and proactive with ability to strategically integrate knowledge, drive actions and decisions in a timely manner. Ability to balance project work and daily priorities to deliver both on time.
Technical Mastery: Strong technical skills and a good understanding of Financial processes, SAFE guidance's and overall plant financial management are a must.
Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Clear communication will ensure project updates are shared appropriately within the multifunctional Teams. You can communicate well internally and externally across different levels of the organisation. This includes the ability to escalate issues when needed.
Collaborative Relationships: Strong collaboration skills are critical, not only internally with Operations and other Departments on site, but more importantly externally with suppliers and Global MPD for both categories, Shave and Beauty Care.
Systems: The successful candidate must be proficient in Excel, able to work in BARS, Manufacturing Net, SAP.
