Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) has a fantastic opportunity as a Finance Analyst to join our Operations Team in London. Part of your responsibilities will be to own month end process from a costing perspective and working closely with the wider Finance Team.
You will help ensure that the end-to-end accounts process is carried out on an accurate and timely basis and that the ledger and sub-ledgers contain accurate information which can be used by other members of Finance and the wider business.
The Finance Operations Team ensures the month end close occurs on a timely basis and that the ledger and sub-ledgers contain accurate financial information ready for use by other teams within RLAM Finance and the wider business.
About the role
- Ensure the month end close occurs on a timely basis and that cost accruals, prepayments and all associated journals are accurate and complete.
- Provide high quality insight and analysis to other teams within finance, for example monthly handover of cost figures to other teams within Finance.
- Carry out balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review rebate payments processed by outsourced suppliers.
- Work closely with the Statutory Accounting Team to ensure the audit is managed effectively and all actions are closed in a timely manner.
About you
- Finance operations experience gained ideally within Financial Services, or Asset management industry (desirable).
- Demonstratable experience of improving existing processes and developing new processes.
- Strong Excel skills essential.
- Experience of Oracle ledger would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, taking ownership and responsibility.
