An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Analyst join the finance team in the role of Finance Analyst. You will be joining a well-respected and prestigious organisation based near High Wycombe. This exciting hybrid role offers the opportunity to provide assistance to the Group Finance Function in a number of different ways. This includes but is not limited to being responsible for the accounting and financial activities relating to the reporting of the capital expenditure and subsequent reporting and reconciliation of fixed assets for the business.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all monthly fixed asset financial reporting and accounting activities (including running depreciation) ensuring company policies and procedures are followed and timeframes adhered to.
- Maintain and reconcile all fixed asset registers, resolving any issues before next close.
- Investigate, review, and evaluate fixed asset transactions and where necessary recommend appropriate treatment.
- Provide support in relation to other external reporting requirements for the Audit and corporation tax as they arise and fall due.
- Produce asset/project analysis and information to relevant departments, and support with the preparation of internal capital reporting.
- Liaise regularly with Commercial Finance to provide support with assets under construction, forecasting, annual budgets and to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Assist with the completion of National Statistic Surveys and in year-end rollover processes.
- Provide other taxation, compliance and statutory accounts support.
Requirements:
- Experience of reconciling and analysing large volumes of data.
- Essential knowledge of Microsoft office to an intermediate level.
- GCSE Maths and English Grade C or Above or Equivalent
- Track record of exam success and continued progression in relation to a professional accounting exam (CIMA/ACCA)
- Process improvements to ensure drive towards efficiencies
- Interacting with non-financial staff and managers
- High standard of written, verbal and electronic communication skills
- Proven ability to communicate effectively & build relationships at all levels
- Proven level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and proactive
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of understanding and enthusiasm about the business.
- Computer literate (MS Office) especially Excel, confident with vlookups/pivot tables.
