LISTENING AND SPEAKING - INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
Able to maintain a fluent conversation on a number of various everyday subjects,and discuss cases involving the field of work.
Able to follow a discussion in Welsh, in Clear Welsh, on familiar matters relating to the post. Able to contribute to the conversation and answer questions.
READING AND COMPREHENSION - INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
Understand everyday correspondence on familiar issues at work.

Main Duties
Overview
The apprentice will develop expertise in certain issues and specific areas which include
Local taxes, debt recovery, advising taxpayers on debt, matching data with checking companies, assisting with the implementation of Charging Orders, specializing in the law around Council Tax premium and much more.
All Gwynedd Council apprentices are expected to demonstrate the following:

Here is an overview of the main duties of the job:
Receive in-house training to Council Tax Frontline Officer level to establish a standard knowledge of local taxes, whilst taking an IRRV Diploma course.
Working on the front line service of the Council administering and collecting local taxes (Council Tax and Non-Domestic Taxes).
Be part of the team and of implementing a statutory tax setting, billing and collection framework, responding to queries from the public by correspondence, over the phone and face to face.
Process applications to modify accounts, grant and modify exemptions, discounts and payment agreements.
Receive permanent training and focus on the earn ad sigh and advise taxpayers on personal debt.
Under the leadership of the Court Officer assisting in the implementation of a debt arrears ad order, attending magistrates / county court with a senior officer, joint operation and external agencies - collection agent/administrators Charging Orders and 3rd sector providers (CAB Money Helper, Shelter Cymru).
Expand knowledge and the area of recovery work to Non-Domestic Taxes and any other levy will be collected by the Council currently levy BID x 2.
