Wax for Life includes re-waxing and repairs (first introduced in 1921) and Barbour Re-Loved an upcycling circularity initiative. Each year over 70,000 wax garments are sent back to Barbour globally to be repaired, rewaxed or altered.

Position Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for two Finance Apprentices to join our Finance team here at our Head Office in South Shields. Whilst also gaining a qualification, the successful candidates will deliver excellent results covering a broad range of disciplines across the Finance function. Adaptability, work ethic, passion for learning and a ‘can do’ attitude will be central to the personal success and job satisfaction the Barbour Finance Apprenticeship offers. We provide support through both line management and mentoring covering the duration of the apprenticeship to ensure you have communication channels for questions and guidance. Given the fast-paced environment in which our Brands operate we offer the chance to develop in a supportive and forward-thinking environment, forming best practices from day one in your finance career.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Rotate between four main domains across Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounting, Accounts Receivable and costing / pricing.
• Take on deliverables accounting to month end close and the balance sheet reconciliation process.
• Acquire in-depth system knowledge in the product costing and pricing area as well as other reporting and ERP software packages.
• Carry out AAT Studies that run parallel to the apprenticeship.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in utilizing GA4 to gain insights and drive recommendations and strategy.
• Adobe Photoshop proficiency desirable but not essential
• Experience using any e-Commerce platforms
• A creative eye
• Ability to manage relationships with numerous cross-functional stakeholders
• Ability to adapt and act in a fast paced environment
