Finance Assistant

Are you a dynamic Finance Assistant who enjoys organisation, with experience in Purchase Ledger? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client's team as a Finance Assistant. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring suppliers are paid weekly and that transactional financial records are accurate for each company. This role focuses on purchase ledger but will also include some sales ledger and credit control as the role develops.

Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice processing, liaising with suppliers for payment.
- Verifying the accuracy of invoices for payment
- Processing weekly payment runs
- Reconciling credit card statements and receipts
- Reconciling bank statements
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Credit control
- Paying contractors and coordinating service providers
- Assisting with Audit
- Record management, and ensuring data is maintained accurately.
Essential Requirements:
- AAT Level 3 or above or 2 year's experience in accounts payable or a Finance Assistant role.
- Effective organisation skills
- Proven ability to handle challenges efficiently and effectively.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience of dealing with CIS payments
- Knowledge of credit control
This role will offer hybrid working from home for 2 days per week, after a settling in period of 3 months. This job is based on a lovely friendly office in Truro with parking, with good transport links available.
