Finance Assistant - Ferndown - Up to £30,000
Are you an experienced Finance Assistant looking for an exciting new challenge in a busy and growing organisation?
Our client are looking to add a proactive and organised Finance Assistant to their accounts team to undertake the following duties:
Sales Ledger
- Generate sales invoices and ensure timely payments
- Address customer queries and discrepancies
- Collaborate with internal departments on sales matters
- Maintain accurate customer data
Purchase Ledger
- Process purchase invoices and manage supplier payments
- Handle internal purchase queries
- Reconcile supplier statements and prepare payment runs
- Process employee expenses and reconcile payments
- Keep supplier data up to date
General Accounts Administration Tasks
- Bank and petty cash reconciliation accounts
- Prepare VAT returns
- Handle telephone calls and emails
- Assist with cross-department queries
- Support payroll by preparing employee wages
- Contribute to monthly management accounts and budget preparation
Requirements
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and reporting abilities
- Ability to organise work, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
- Ability to communicate complex financial information in an easy-to-understand format
- Ability to use mathematical skills for accurate accounting
- Computer literacy and IT skills transferable to bookkeeping software
- Customer service skills for dealing with clients or suppliers directly
Salary dependent on experience - Up to £30,000 per annum
This is a full time office based role working 08.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday - Half an hour lunch
The Client will also consider Part Time.
