Finance Assistant

Your new role

• Working in a public sector organisation in Newcastle
• To finish the balance sheet reconciliations for the accounts of the organisations multiple sites across the North East.
• Payroll journals for the Northeast Region these should be prepared and posted
• To create a monthly schedule of rent, rates, and service accruals and prepayments, as well as to balance the company\'s suspense accounts.
• Process and keep track of bills for Flexible Benefit Ledgers.
• To guarantee compliance with statutory tax obligations, such as filing VAT returns, P11d, and PSA.
• To keep an eye on all additions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation made to the company\'s fixed asset register.

What you\'ll need to succeed

• Experience with account administration and general ledger reconciliation Experience with transactional processing, such as journal entries, payment processing, and cash allocation
• Proficiency in utilising Oracle, JDE, or additional ERP finance systems.
• AAT certification, or comparable
• Possessing Microsoft Excel experience
• Knowledge or expertise in operating within a Finance Shared Service Centre.
• Proficiency in collaborating in a group setting.
• Outstanding focus on detail and proficient organising abilities.
• Dedicated to ongoing improvement, with a strong emphasis on customer service and effective communication abilities.
