This presents an excellent chance to integrate with a lively, ethos-driven startup, collaborating closely with their Commercial Finance Manager.

As an Accounts Assistant under the guidance of the Commercial & Finance Manager, you'll hold a pivotal role in financial operations, nurturing their ongoing expansion. With a current turnover of £8 million, our client aims to skyrocket to an ambitious target of £50 million within the next 2 years. From overseeing payroll to aiding in month-end procedures, your contributions will fuel their enduring triumphs and inventive spirit.
This presents a thrilling prospect to join and evolve alongside the enterprise as they persist in revolutionizing the UK/EU market.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Commercial Finance Manager Handle accounts receivable functions, from invoicing to reconciliation.
- Manage/oversee the accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Conduct weekly bank reconciliations and support payroll processing.
- Assist in month-end procedures and financial reporting.
- Foster positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate confident decision-making and proactive communication.
What our client would like to see (required):
- Experience within a stock-based business such as Cosmetics / Retail / FMCG / Hospitality
- Stock control experience.
- Ability to work with a high level of autonomy.
- Confidence in working with stakeholders outside of the finance team i.e. being able to speak to managers of other departments and answer queries and or explain processes.
- Desire to learn and demonstrate ambition to progress.
- Strong Excel skills
What we would like to see (optional):
- Experience in supporting with month-end and ownership of AP/AR.
- Evidence of working with other departments outside of finance i.e. Sales or Marketing or Supply Chain or Innovations teams.
