CPL are delighted to be partnering with a leading multi-disciplinary building services group who are currently experiencing a significant period of growth due to continuous success over the past few years.

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join an experienced team based in Newtownabbey on a full time, permanent basis. As a key member of the team, in this dynamic and fast-growing organisation, this role requires an individual to be able to multitask and prioritise workload.

Roles & Responsibilities;

• Preparation and posting of journals at month end, including accruals and prepayments.
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Preparation of VAT returns.
• Preparation and submission of CIS returns.
• Assist with reporting on contract performance for management accounts.
• Analysis and posting of employee expenses.
• Assist in the preparation of year end audit files for the company.
• Undertaking a variety of administrative tasks.
• Undertake any reasonable duties as requested by management.

What we are looking for;

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting position.
• Accounting Technician, recently qualified or part qualified.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent numerical skill and attention to detail.
• Capacity to work independently with limited supervision.
• To be flexible and work as part of a team.
• Experience of CIS would be an advantage.
• Able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
