Job description
The post-holder will provide a key contribution to effective financial management within the Public Health Agency (PHA). This will include provision of specialist financial advice to Directors, Senior Managers and other budget holders and external stakeholders in order to deliver effective financial management in line with the strategic objectives of the organisation. The role will involve the production of regular, meaningful financial analysis reports to facilitate effective budgetary control at Business Unit level, and working with the Financial Management team to analyse and evaluate complex problems. The post-holder will be responsible for working closely with budget holders to facilitate budget setting, re-profiling, forecasting and other ad-hoc financial costings as required..

Have advanced IT skills in relation to MS Office (in particular Excel) applications and experience of working with financial systems including a computerised accounting ledger and budgetary control system.Demonstrate experience in dealing with and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation, to achieve successful outcomes. , Have full membership of one of the six professional accounting institutes (ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAS, CIMA or ICAI).
