Finance Assistant
Temporary role starting Monday 25th March until 31st July 2024
Working 37hrs, this role will be 2 days in the office (Tuesday & Thursdays) & 3 days from home
Paying £13.38ph - £14.54ph, equates to £25,742 - £27,979pa dependent on experience

They are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant to join their STEM finance team. This is a varied role within a busy team who provides high quality financial services. The role supports the accurate recording and forecasting of the staffing position for the STEM faculty.
Duties include:
- The role is responsible for setting up and raising invoices for Research projects on SAP
- Supporting the Co-ordinators with claims for c 150 research projects
- Preparing staffing journals and managing the staff change spreadsheet so that project staff are allocated to the correct project codes for the right amount of time.
- Running reports to assist the team from SAP
- Setting up projects on SAP - looking for anomalies and changes required
Skills and Experience:
- AAT ideally upto level 2
- Recent, relevant experience of working in an accounting environment.
- Experience of costing /budgeting / forecasting
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and charts and using financial Excel functions)
