A dynamic and thriving media company in Liverpool, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support various financial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions. Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Process and manage supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile supplier statements and address any discrepancies.
- Prepare and process payment runs in a timely manner.
Accounts Receivable:
- Assist in the preparation of customer invoices and statements.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer balances.
- Support the credit control function to ensure timely payments.
Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements on a regular basis.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Expense Management:
- Process employee expense claims and verify supporting documentation.
- Reconcile company credit card statements.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Provide support during the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ad-Hoc Tasks:
- Assist with various ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks as required.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information.
Qualifications:
- AAT qualification or equivalent in finance or accounting.
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is desirable.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
