Finance Assistant

JHE & Partners are pleased to once again be supporting a fantastic client as they look to recruit a Finance Assistant on a permanent basis. This is a superb opportunity for any ambitious candidates who have begun their career in Finance and are looking to gain exposure to higher level accounting. With the full support for the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will join a small, friendly team and be given every opportunity to understand all aspects of accounting, from taking responsibility for the Purchase and Sales Ledgers, to supporting with monthly management accounts and the production of analysis and reports for Senior Leadership.

Duties will involve:

• Assist in the production of management accounts
• Maintenance of the Fixed Assets Register
• Weekly margin analysis
• Processing Journals
• Bank Reconciliations
• Complete VAT returns
• Purchase Ledger
• Credit Control
• Promptly address client queries
• Distribute Invoices/ statements/ reminders
• Credit Insurer Reporting & Compliance

Key Skills Required

• Previous experience in Finance Function
• Strong IT skills, especially in Excel
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines
