Finance Assistant

Newly created Finance Assistant role for a rapidly growing media/marketing agency in London (with flexibility to work from home).

Absolute are partnered with a rapidly expanding media and communications agency who are seeking to add to their impressive finance team with a newly created Finance Assistant position. Having achieved exceptional growth over the last 3 years due to their innovative campaigns and partnerships with the likes of Nike, Disney, Porsche, and Apple (to name a few). The business prides itself on creating a great place to work, and also on promoting and developing from within and the role will report to their Senior Management Accountant, who has progressed quickly within the business over the last few years.
What will you be doing in this role?

• Preparation of weekly and bi-weekly payment runs
• Manage the review of vendor invoices and credit card processing and review of all employee expenses
• Assist with credit control to develop and maintain cashflow
• Setting up new clients on the system and performing full credit checks
• Monthly bank reconciliations and daily postings of all GBP, EUR and USD transactions
• Assisting with the Senior Management Accountant with monthly management accounts and cashflow forecasting, month-end schedules, accrued expenses, prepayments, fixed assets, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

Key candidate requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of finance experience
• Good transactional accounting knowledge
• Actively studying AAT/ACCA/CIMA
• Proactive and driven personality and someone who is organised

Nice to have’s (but not essential)

• Experience using Maconomy
• WIP (Work in progress) experience
• Prior experience within media or marketing sectors

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000

Based: Central London with flexibility to work from home
