Finance Assistant - Part Time

Our Irlam based client is seeking to enhance its dynamic finance team by welcoming a dedicated part-time Finance Assistant.

The offered position is permanent and entails 20 hours per week, offering flexibility in scheduling over 4 or 5 days, provided they fall within the window of 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconciliation and input of card payment receipts
• Entering purchase invoices into our system
• Allocating customer receipts to sales invoices
• Matching fuel receipts with corresponding payments
• Reconciliation of aged debtors and creditors
• Providing support in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Undertaking other ad hoc duties as required
• Offering general administrative support to the finance department

The Ideal Candidate:

• Possesses a minimum of 12 month's experience in a similar environment.
• Demonstrates the ability to process data swiftly and accurately.
• Exhibits initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Possesses excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Holds a sound knowledge of IT systems, accounting packages, and Excel.
• Displays analytical thinking with keen attention to detail.
• Capable of working under tight deadlines
• Adopts a methodical and professional approach to work.
• Able to thrive under pressure and collaborates effectively in a team.
