Finance Assistant/Credit Controller - Berkshire Based

Savant is proud to be supporting a high end prestigious Berkshire based company who operate in the retail sector in their search for an experienced hands-on Finance Assistant/Credit Controller to join small but friendly finance team.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Finance Assistant/Credit Controller will ensure accounts receivable are kept in line with relevant payment terms, recovering outstanding debt whilst maintaining business relationships. You will also be required to provide support in maintaining the purchase ledger, produce weekly sales reports, reconcile inter-company transactions along with other ad-hoc finance duties.

They are looking for a confident and outgoing individual, to maintain and improve the contribution of the team to the business as a whole.

Primary Role Responsibilities;

• Ownership of the Credit Control function
• Chasing outstanding invoices by telephone, email and/or letter in line with the company policies
• Maintain the sales ledger, invoice and credit note entry, account statement reconciliations
• Preparation of weekly payment runs
• Reconcile Inter-company transactions
• To produce and develop reports, including weekly sales, aged Debtor and creditor Ledger
• Reconcile petty cash and credit card accounts
• Enter daily banking
• Other ad-hoc duties

• Use of Sage 50 accounting package. Netsuite familiarity also useful.
