Successful and Expanding Global Shipping Company based near the iconic St Katherines Dock is looking to recruit an experienced Finance Associate to join their commercial finance team!
You will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Manager with financial duties in relation to the organisations vessels.
Some of the duties:
- Preparation of analysis reports between different set of budgets (pre-delivery and post-delivery budgets) and actuals and/or estimates
- Maintain account payable and receivable function, keep up to date with funding schedule and management fee schedule including calculations
- Understanding of pre-delivery and post-delivery budgets, able to assist with reviewing them, and advise Technical Manager the budget assumptions where required
- Ensure relevant certificates, licenses and insurance documents are in place and renewal of such documents in good time manner
- OPEX budget and cost management
This position would suit somebody with the following:
- AAT qualified and/or studying towards accountancy qualification such as ACCA or CIMA
- Finance related degree
- Shipping experience
- Financial and management accounts experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Accounting systems experience
- Strong data analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Shipping experience is desirable
