About
Our client is a global manufacturing organization now hiring a permanent Finance Business Partner to join their team.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting for a cluster of operational sites in the South/South-East UK region.
This will be a varied position and will include support on financial and non-financial KPIs, interfacing and challenging Operational Directors for each site to drive performance.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Manage the accuracy and timeliness of financial information to key stakeholders.
- Prepare forecasts and budgets and present key movements and explanations on variances to the BU Lead and Operation Directors.
- Audit operational month-end accounts to ensure they are accurate and provide a full understanding of any deviations from the budget, highlighting any future impacts of current deviations.
- Challenge financial results with Operation Directors where applicable.
- Assist the GM and FC in driving improvements of operational KPIs, highlighting any issues and supporting resolution.
- Ensure all internal/external weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports are complete and accurate before submission.
- Support the identification of operational efficiency opportunities and assist with cost control and cost reduction projects.
- Assist in commercial reviews, providing financial evaluation and support.
- Assist in Capex budgeting, forecasting, and preparation.
- Deal with ad-hoc financial queries from Ops Units as and when required.
- Assist the Finance team in other projects, and ad-hoc tasks and cover them as and when required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified, or close to qualifying in ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
- Demonstrable Finance Management/FP&A experience
- Strong management accounting and analytical skills essential
- Experience reporting on variances, and challenging site budget owners
- Commercial acumen with the ability to drive financial performance with Operational stakeholders.
- A proactive problem-solving approach and a collaborative attitude
- Financial reporting in manufacturing, or operational environment preferred.
- Strong communication skills and eye for detail.
- Ability to work in a new team, and support transformation projects
- Advanced Excel skills and SAP experience
- Fluent in English, oral & written
