SalaryReed Finance is working with a global manufacturing business based in the North of Glasgow. There is only a requirement to be in the office one day per week and there is a half day on a Friday with a 1pm finish. The role provides support and analysis to key stakeholders both internal and external.
We are searching for a strong communicator who will be able to provide analysis to the stakeholders and build relationships. The ideal candidate will be newly qualified or have qualified over the past few years. Candidates from both practice and industry are welcome to apply. Due to the size of the business, there will no doubt be future career opportunities internally.
The main responsibilities the position entails are:
- Support the Head of Finance to drive improved delivery, utilisation and efficiency of finance processes and resources
- Work to enhance business wide understanding of the contract’s key performance indicators
- Build strong strategic internal relationships with stakeholders to ensure operational improvements
- Lead on business forecasting, with an active role in setting targets on costs, savings, opportunities etc
- Lead on continuous improvement of departmental and finance information processes through seeking to develop best practise
- Leading on adhoc project work to support the team as and when required
To be considered for the role, you must possess the following:
- Fully qualified chartered accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS)
- Strong communicator who can build relationships with key stakeholders
- Analytical individual who can problem solve
