We're delighted to be supporting a brand new client - an SME in central Bath - in the appointment of a Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis.
Our client is a highly progressive, forward-thinking organisation that takes great pride on the culture and values-alignment when looking to hire. As a result, they have a particularly low staff turnover and strong employee reviews.
The business is a short walk from Bath Spa station and operates a hybrid model of 3 days on site, 2 WFH.
The Job
The Finance Business Partner will lead inter-department collaboration, supporting the COO and other Commercial stakeholders with a variety of tasks aligned to financial planning, budgeting & forecasting, and process improvements.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be pivotal in managing the company's revenue-related activities, while also supporting the Management Accountant around month end.
Core responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with various departments to develop annual budgets and reforecasts.
- Providing insights on pricing strategies, profitability, and revenue growth opportunities.
- Taking full responsibility for all aspects of net revenue and above, ensuring all revenue-related metrics are accurately tracked and reported.
- Providing detailed revenue forecasts that will aid in strategic planning and decision-making processes across the organisation.
- Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Monitoring and analysing actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
The Candidate
We're looking for someone who has, ideally, worked within an SME or likes to get involved with a range of stakeholder types, not being afraid to go out into the business and form meaningful relationships.
You'll need to take a collaborative approach to your work, helping to improve departmental visibility and encourage an active participation from your stakeholders.
We don't mind if you're fully qualified, part qualified, or QBE - we're more focused on getting the right person into the right environment.
