Day to day of the role:
- Provide support to the Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP) Lot 3 contract work streams.
- Maintain the Estimate At Completion, reflecting the costs to be incurred and the expected savings.
- Assist the Transformation team with the submission of benefits papers and understanding the assumptions that underpin the results.
- Support the Head of Finance in keeping the accounting paper up to date.
- Engage with key stakeholders to ensure risks are understood and highlighted where appropriate.
- Review financial or contractual documentation and participate in discussions across many disciplines to solve financial or contractual problems.
This full-time position requires a 37-hour work week with hybrid working arrangements, including the expectation to be onsite once a week.
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Recognised professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS) or equivalent/similar.
- Experience in complex finance procedures and processes with the ability to simplify complex issues.
- Autonomous working capability and the ability to challenge and innovate within established procedures.
- Demonstrable experience in stakeholder engagement to ensure risks are understood and highlighted.
- Proficiency in processing large volumes of information with attention to detail.
- Experience with long-term contracts and/or within a similar industry is desirable but not essential.
- Must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
