Role Overview:
The position entails active involvement in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial support across various business units. It offers a dynamic and development-oriented setting for individuals eager to make a substantial impact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate closely with budget holders to ensure thorough consideration of financial implications for decisions, including cost modeling and scenario planning.
* Evaluate business cases, change proposals, and tender submissions from a financial perspective.
* Ensure Budget Holders' compliance with Financial Regulations and alignment of corporate financial strategy with tactical and operational plans.
* Represent corporate finance in meetings, ensuring consistent messaging.
* Prepare and present comprehensive financial plans and budget performance analysis to the Senior Operational Management Team.
* Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the line manager.
* Engage in external networks to stay abreast of and implement best practices.
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified or Part Qualified in ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, or equivalent.
* Demonstrated proficiency in effectively managing financial reporting.
* Skilled in providing financial analysis to both finance and non-finance managers.
* Experience in budget setting within complex organizational structures.
* Proficient in Financial Information Systems utilization.
* Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, including designing and utilizing intricate spreadsheets and database tools.
* Capable of influencing, challenging, and implementing change successfully.
* Strong communicator with a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, capable of explaining them to non-Finance Managers.
