Your new company
A London university is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join them on an interim basis from April. The role is initially for 3 months and there is the potential for extension. The team operate on a hybrid basis, with occassional days in the office.
Your new role
- Provide advice and guidance to allocated Schools on the preparation of their annual submission for the budget round
- Contribute to the continuing improvement of the budgeting and monthly reporting processes
- Support budget holders through regular financial planning and reporting cycles and providing financial advice to budget holders as required, including support with business cases for costings, modelling and variance analysis
- Contribute to the financial year end audit providing accurate audit schedules and dealing with audit queries
- Demonstrate excellent understanding of the relationship between the academic and student-related objectives of the University
What you'll need to succeed
- You must be a qualified accountant
- You must have experience of working in a university
- You must have experience of working in a Finance Business Partner role
- You must have experience of using a large accounting (ERP) system
- Experience of annual TRAC reporting to HEFCE is desirable
