About the role In the job of Senior Business Partner – Research and Innovation you'll be responsible for leading the Business Partnering relationship with senior research colleagues and other budget-holders within their portfolio, building partnerships and maintain strong relationships with senior managers and their teams. This job will be truly cross-cutting, working with colleagues from across finance to provide insight and influence on research finance which we currently do not have. This role is critical, as it will play a key part in ensuring we deliver key pillars of our financial strategy. For a full range of what this job entails, please see the attached job description. About you To do the job of Senior Finance Business Partner - Research and Innovation, you'll need to be a fully qualified accountant (CCAB) with evidence of up-to-date technical knowledge and a track record of providing financial partnership to senior leaders. You'll have experience of working within a Business Partnering role within a complex Higher Education or research institution, and an understanding of how research finance works. You'll be able to deliver financial analysis and information to non-finance staff, using the numbers to "tell a story", and also be able to influence and challenge stakeholders to a senior level.
