Our client is an exciting SAAS business that has created an innovative application that helps organisations to drive cost-saving. Now exceeding a turnover of £10m, the business has grown rapidly through both organic growth and acquisitions. As a significant high growth unit with a global plc, this is an exciting role as the business grows with ongoing investment with plans to double in the next few years.
Role:
The Management Accountant is a critical new role within the Finance team, working directly for the Unit Finance Director with responsibility for the production of the monthly management reporting pack and ownership of the monthly business unit results. Critical to this is clear and informative variance analysis and ownership of risks and opportunities across the businesses.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management reporting for the business unit including variance analysis vs. budget and forecast, capex and balance sheet reporting, intercompany and production of Board reporting pack schedules.
- Supporting with weekly/monthly/quarterly cashflow forecasts for the business unit as required
- Supporting the sales ledger process to ensure invoices are raised and settled in a timely manner to support the cashflow of the business.
- Providing commercial finance support to the business to ensure margins are maximised through close management of the supply chain from materials, production, stock and WIP.
- Responding to group finance team requests
- Provision of information to, and liaison with, auditors to ensure an effective annual audit process for the business unit
- Wider finance team and ad-hoc project support as required
- Identification and implementation of process improvements, efficiency initiatives and financial controls
The role requires an individual holding ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification and a good grasp Oracle Netsuite or similar ERP systems. We would like to see clear evidence of prior Finance Business Partnering allied to strong communication and negotiation skills.
