Summary of job –

Hays Accountancy and Finance are representing a prominent public sector body based in the heart of Belfast City Centre, for the appointment of a experienced finance manager with the opportunity to get exposure across procurement and Corporate services. The placeholder will be thereto support the Director of Governance and Support Services in the delivery of Finance, Governance, Risk, Accommodation and Facilities Management, IT and Information Governance.

Main duties and responsibilities -

• Lead on Preparing, the organisation’s Annual Accounts.
• Regular timely financial reports to support budget management.
• Review and update financial policies, procedures and controls.
• Manage and oversee the Office asset register.
• Engage with and maintain close and effective working relationships with a range of external stakeholders for example, DoF, auditors, other agencies and departments.

Have successfully completed the professional examinations and be a full, current member of at least one of the following bodies:
Chartered Accountants Ireland - The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland - The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales - The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants - The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants - The Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountancy - The Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland.
