Sabhal Mor Ostaig is based in Sleat on the beautiful Isle of Skye. It is the National Centre for Gaelic Language and Culture and is the only centre in the world that provides its Higher and Further Education courses entirely through Gaelic.
The Role
Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Finance will provide financial strategic direction and operational leadership to a range of teams whilst ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the College.

Person Specification
You will have strong financial management and compliance skills and be a CCAB Qualified Accountant or equivalent. Having knowledge of risk management and business continuity as well as public sector procurement compliance, you will be skilled in budget setting and forecasting.
Experienced in change management and organisational development, you’ll have proven leadership and team management skills. A willingness to learn Gaelic if not already spoken would also be a requirement of this role.
