Finance Director

Elevation are delighted to be working with a manufacturer of industry leading and forward-thinking products in their search for a new Finance Director for their UK operation based on the outskirts of Leeds. This role is a key hire, supporting the UK CEO and Group CFO in developing the financial and operational strategy of the business as it heads towards a key period in its journey. This is an ambitious business, backed by an international group willing to offer heavy investment in order to become a global industry leader - both in terms of revenue and sustainability. This is a business that uses world class innovation, technology and skills - and is looking to grow revenues in part to fund a more environmentally friendly solution. 
This great opportunity blends an autonomous control of the financial function and UK performance with true operational and commercial business partnering that will dictate present operational functionality and future strategy. You will be a critical member of the board, partnering with a collaborative Group CFO and CEO as the business moves forward after a significant amount of transformation and change. With a strong order book moving forward, the business is looking to further implement continuous improvements, increasing both top and bottom lines.
Some of the key duties include:

- Management of a strong and stable finance team that includes multiple Qualified accountants who lead the accounting reporting function of a relatively complex group structure, whilst overseeing subsidiary companies, foreign operations and third party outsourcees.
- Managing the budgeting, forecasting and capital expenditure approval processes - keeping a close handle on all things related to cashflow so that the business can maximise its assets.
- Acting as the key contact for internal and external stakeholders, building advantageous relationships with key figures such as potential future suppliers, customers and investors. 
- Ensure that the UK operation and H.O continues to strive for a continued pursuit of excellence.
The scope of this role is where the excitement and challenge will come. Upward stakeholder management experience is critical, and this is a job where strong experience as a Finance Director - ideally in a Group or Multi-National (or Site) manufacturing business is essential. 
The Group CFO will be looking for someone to demonstrate a proven background in driving forward change management, process improvement and strategic leadership. Experience of growing international subsidiaries and securing investments or leading a business through prospective transactions would also be attractive.
