SalaryWe are delighted to have been given the task of securing the appointment of an ambitious Finance Director for this equally ambitious SME business. Working as a critical member of the Board, the Finance Director will be instrumental in creating a five year plan for growth.
With responsibility for various functions in the business and two direct reports, the Finance Director will be part of the strategic direction of the company and setting the tone of the culture of this value led business.
Responsibilities:
- Board member role
- Creation and execution of a 5 year growth plan with all members of the Board
- Drive the financial planning of the organisation by analysing its performance and risks.
- Retain constant awareness of the organisation's financial position and act to prevent problems.
- Set up and oversee the organisation's finance IT system.
- Management of two direct reports
- Ensure a culture of continuous improvement, identifying ways to drive efficiency through redesign and development of financial processes.
- Management of the balance sheet, including reporting against budget/forecast, and completion of relevant control procedures such as balance sheet reconciliations.

- ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/ACA/FCCA/FCA Qualification
- Exceptional leadership abilities and a strategic mindset
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
