Form of workRattrayParkin are currently supporting the recruitment requirements of an impressive South Yorkshire based SME which, further to a recent private equity investment, is seeking to recruit a high-calibre and experienced Finance Director.
The business, which is an international supplier of specialist technical products, is well established with a strong customer base and consistently profitable.
The incoming Finance Director will take responsibility for all aspects of internal financial management, provide high-level business partnering to the Senior Management Team and maintain strong external relationships with advisors, stakeholders, and investors.
Specific responsibilities will include:
As the Finance Director, you will be the driving force behind ensuring the management and statutory accounting requirements are fulfilled and presented to the senior management team.
- Provision of accurate and timely Management and Statutory Accounts.
- Management of the Budgeting and Forecasting processes.
- Management of the audit processes and statutory accounts preparation with external advisors.
- Ensure VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, and other such returns are completed as required.
- Optimising the cash position of the business through robust cost control and effective debtor management.
- Overseeing and approving supplier payments.
- Communication of financial information to the management and operational teams.
- Leading the finance team
- Management and development of internal systems, procedures, and controls
- Key contributor in the Senior Management team
To be considered for this exciting position, you will be a qualified accountant who can demonstrate a strong track record of operating at Finance Director level within a standalone entity. Previous experience of creating high-performance finance teams would also be advantageous, as would previous exposure to private equity investors.
