Finance Director

An experienced Finance Director is required to join the senior management team of a multi-site dealership, partnering with a Global vehicle manufacturer, and having sole distribution rights for the Midlands region. This is a hands-on Finance Director role, managing a team of 5 and working closely with the senior management team and the vehicle manufacturer.

Our ideal candidate will have dealership (this could be automotive, commercial vehicle or off-highway) experience, although for the right candidate this is not essential.

Hybrid role - Ideal locations - Stoke-on-Trent, Stone, Leek, Market Drayton, Congleton, Crewe, Nantwich, Macclesfield, Uttoxeter, Stafford, Cannock, Burton-upon-Trent, Buxton, Telford

££Competitive Salary + pension + healthcare + car allowance

The Role

• Provide leadership to the companies finance department with direct responsibility for a team of 5.
• Support the Senior Management team in business planning, forecasting and creating and managing budgets.
• Define, implement and oversee procedures for the finance department.
• Use financial modelling to simulate potential scenarios.
• Perform financial analysis on the company to predict and manage financial health.
• Monitor spending and create budgets.
• Ensure adherence to national and international financial regulations.
• Oversee the company's payroll and bookkeeping system.
• Work with financial institutes and represent the company in these meetings.
• Work closely with the vehicle manufacturer, presenting data and information as required.
• Support the company's 3 dealership sites.

The Candidate

• Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in the area of accountancy, maths, economics or business.
• Ideally you will hold a professional Accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar.
• Preferable is an exposure to a dealership environment, this could be automotive, commercial vehicle or off-highway.
• Previous experience in a Finance Director, Director of Finance, Head of Finance or a Group Finance role.
• A strong presenter, able to deliver financial information to different audiences.
• Previous experience of managing a team.
• Experience across different accounting and business software. Our client uses IFS, previous experience of this would be an advantage.
