About Our Client
My client is a Surrey based SME within the construction sector.
Job Description
- Look forward and identify areas for growth and development and identify strategies for achieving these
- Help to develop a long term business plan and strategy to grow parts of the business and maintain a strong and stable base including the financial strategy going forward
- Produce and develop timely Management Information that shows the SLT the state of the business and enables modelling of future opportunities with particular reference to funding according to monthly close timetables
- Lead and develop the culture of the organisation and help to reinforce a positive and inclusive culture
- Create appropriate HR policies and a staff handbook that support staff and encourage engagement with the culture above
- Develop the team to ensure skills and roles are appropriate and constantly improving
- Review front and back office IT systems to ensure that operational efficiency is maximised whilst control is maintained and visibility of spending enhanced
- Seek out opportunities for efficiency that enables the business to thrive and grow
- Play a key role in reviewing new investment opportunities
- Develop strong relationships internally and externally that ensure that opportunities for improvement and growth are maximised
- Prepare annual statutory accounts together with oversight of tax computations and annual audits where appropriate
- Ensure appropriate tax reduction measures are optimised and work with the business to implement relevant strategies to maximise tax efficiency
- Ensure controls around cash management are strong and valid
- Monitor and report on projects
- Budgeting, Planning & Analysis including cost allocation
- Review loans and financing and become the key contact with finance partners
- Regular cash flow reports including forecasts
