The role in more detail:
- Ensure proper financial oversight of construction contracts
- Maintain and recommend key performance indicators and ensure Senior Leadership Team have the right information to make the right decisions
- Oversee and present monthly management information
- Business partner budget holders through budgeting and forecasting processes
- Oversee the annual audit and manage the audit relationship
- Review all tax returns (VAT, PAYE, CIS, Corporation Tax) and ensure tax affairs are managed both efficiently and compliantly
- Ensure the integrity of all accounting transactions and financial statements
- Ensure all financial systems and controls are fit for purpose and continuously reviewed
The successful applicant will be fully qualified (ACCA or CIMA) with proven leadership experience, whilst demonstrating a strong commercial and technical awareness. You will be a team player and able to work on your own initiative, whilst possessing strong IT skills including a high degree of Microsoft Excel competence. A construction background will be advantageous along with experience in operating variants of Microsoft Dynamics.
