Finance Director - Hybrid working

- Oversee completion of timely annual audited financial statements and maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and act upon their recommendations.
- Manage treasury (including FX), finance, accounting and related compliance functions with the necessary processes and internal controls to safeguard the corporate assets.
- Ensure a reliable multi-currency global cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs of the Company;
- Ensure that internal business and financial processes are efficient and optimised, so that the capture of critical business data is accurate and timely;
- Be disciplined in terms of enforcing business policies, approvals and authorisations at all levels;
- Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations;
- Report financial results to the CEO, COO and board of directors.
- Develop financial and tax strategies;
- Supervise financial due diligence and prepare and review business cases on major projects.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analysis and information reports.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of applicable business experience of which 5 must be in a financial leadership role for a company or division of a large corporation.
- ACA , ACCA or MBA equivalent preferred.
- Experience working for a multi-national company with a focus on both revenue growth and margin expansion.
- Strong direct understanding of best-practice finance processes and a proven track record in building a finance function in a small company.
- Experience in working for an independent subsidiary in a wider group portfolio (private equity / holding company) and related management accounting and statutory reporting requirements.
- Should have experience in partnering with a founder led executive team and possess exquisite communication skills.
- Must have sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment strong operational focus and a creative thinker.
- Good leader who is trustworthy, willing to share information and serve as a mentor.
- Decisive with a "big picture" perspective but must be willing and able to be hands on in the generation of financial information.
- Experience of working in a regulated industry or government contracting desirable.
