A Finance Director is required for an established client based in Salisbury. This role is office based with 1 day at home after training. This role would suit someone with experience in the following sectors: Practice, Charity, Healthcare, NHS, Public Sector, Education, Housing. You will lead the small but experienced Finance team to achieve the objectives set by the Senior Management Team. In addition, you will also have responsibility for overseeing IT, Commercial and HR functions so you must be forward thinking, commercially aware and be able to give sound financial advice and effect change.
Key duties
- Provide strategic direction ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the operation
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the firms' objectives
- Provide insightful analysis and reports to the senior management team including monthly management reports
- Oversee the annual budget and forecasts
- Ensure robust financial controls
- Modernise/update financial systems
- Ensure good communication with bankers, investment managers, pension advisors and auditors
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
Qualifications and experience
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Director
- Strong knowledge of financial management and accounting principles
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.
