Finance Director

CMA Executive is delighted to present a new Executive Finance opportunity in the South West, for a Finance Director to join a longstanding, well reputed and established Group organisation who is successful in the Leisure and Hospitality sector.

This critical Board appointment will oversee a finance function who support a diverse Group portfolio, as well as offering strategic and commercial partnering to the Managing Director alongside other members of the Senior Leadership Team.

What will the Finance Director role involve?

• Provide sound financial and commercial leadership across the Group to ensure the achievement of short term objectives and profitable long term growth.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high performing finance Team, and contribute to enhancement of other departments.
• Responsibility for providing and presenting the relevant financial and business performance information to stakeholders, where you must be prepared and able to present to a highly analytical and data driven audience, whilst at the same time simplifying the information and ensuring that you have delivered in an easily digestible format.
• Responsibility for all business, financial, tax and regulatory reporting being produced in an accurate and timely manner, with oversight for the auditing process, annual budgets, cash flow requirements.
• You will be key point of liaison for external auditors, HMRC and the banking partners.
• Drive the business through financial and commercial insight, long range and strategic planning, taking into account wider economic trends and external considerations, shareholder objectives and profitable growth opportunities.

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Director vacancy:

• You will be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience of operating previously in a Board level Executive finance position.
• As a key member of a diverse Board, you will be agile in your approach and delivery techniques, able to offer highly granular and detailed analysis when required, or broad level overviews with the same integrity in depth and understanding. Previous experience of working within a highly numerate and analytical Board composition will be extremely beneficial.
• Experience from the leisure, tourism and hospitality industry could be considered preferential.
• This is a highly visible leadership position, while there will be some accommodation of flexible working it is important that position of Finance Director is performed primarily onsite, with some sporadic travel required to various locations.
