BDO Regulatory Solutions are currently recruiting for a Finance Director to join our client, a Healthcare firm, based in London.
We are offering an initial 6 month contract starting ASAP with a competitive day rate, employed via an Umbrella company.
About the role:
The client is seeking a strong, detail-oriented, process driven, hands-on Financial Controller. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing company, playing a crucial role in setting up the systems and processes for its continued success.
Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing and directing all audit and tax functions as well as analysing and reporting on financial performance. We are seeking an experienced and analytical candidate with strong numerical skills to drive our organization's financial operations and improve financial performance. Responsibilities will include supervising accounting staff, overseeing internal controls, overseeing annual insurance, monitoring cash flow, posting judgemental journals and owning month-end documentation and accuracy + completeness for the GmbH and assisting in this globally, and managing tax compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- You will be responsible for the correct and timely monthly consolidated financial reporting and ensure compliance with internal and external reporting rules and requirements according to HGB & implementation of controls to ensure global intercompany matching.
- You will post sensitive, judgemental, or tax related entries in the parent entity, and review these postings in the subsidiaries in consultation with the CFO.
- Contact person for auditors during the preparation of the audit of the annual financial statements.
- Together with the CFO, is in charge of the regional tax & financial planning.
- Oversee global corporate governance and administration to ensure federal and state compliance.
- Oversees the treasury activities managed daily by the Finance Team & evaluate FX hedging.
- Coordinates, directs, develops and motivates German Finance team.
- Develops internal control policies and procedure best practices for all financial activities; ensures the Finance team as well as the entire Company comply with the set controls. Constantly strives to improve company-wide controls.
- Minimum of 7 years of Accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar is preferred. WP & StB preferred.
- You have excellent know-how regarding the preparation of consolidated financial statements according to HGB. Experience in FMCG is a plus.
- Experience in optimising / implementing ERP systems.
- You are an implementer & doer, have an eye for the big picture AND the detail and can still lend a hand yourself. Furthermore, you are a team player with strong communication skills.
- Very good English and German.
- Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.

Duration: 6 months
Day Rate: Competitive, to Umbrella company.
